Some custom caller IDs may be restricted while using SpoofCard, depending on the destination you are attempting to reach. When attempting to call certain toll-free numbers, businesses, etc., you may receive a pop-up message indicating the following:
“To call this destination number, you must use a number that you own and has been verified. If you do not own the number you want to use as Caller ID, you will not be able to contact this destination number."
If you receive this message, you must use a caller ID you own that has been verified through our in-app verification system to call that specific destination. Our providers enforce this requirement due to recent telecom regulations. These new rules necessitate adjustments to our service to ensure compliance.
To verify a caller ID, please use the following:
On SpoofCard.com:
1. Navigate to Settings.
2. In the “Account” tab, navigate to the “Add Verified Caller ID” section on the right.
3. Select “Add” to start the process.
4. Follow the prompts to complete the verification process. If you cannot receive the verification code via SMS, select “Call Me” during the caller ID input process to receive the code via a phone call.
On the SpoofCard mobile apps:
1. Navigate to the app’s settings.
2. Go to “Account”.
3. Select “Add Verified Caller ID.”
4. Follow the prompts to complete the verification process. If you cannot receive the verification code via SMS, select “Call Me” during the caller ID input process to receive the code via a phone call.
